The Cosmic Mysteries School was started through the vision and direction of Hunbatz Men, our Mayan Elder and Teacher. The purpose of the school is to offer to the public essential information and knowledge at this time of great cleansing and healing.
For many years Hunbatz Men has been devoted to revive the wisdom and culture of the ancient Mayas. He is an authentic Maya, born in Wenkal, Yucatan, Mexico, and was raised to be a shaman, a holy man, since the age of one. He is a respected ceremonial leader as well as a Mayan Daykeeper- an authority on History, Chronology, Calendars and Cosmic Knowledge in Mayan civilization. He authored the book Secrets of Mayan Science/Religion and some other books putting the Mayan cosmology and philosophy in a twentieth century perspective. He is founder of all the Mayan Mysteries Schools of the world and has started re-consecrating the sacred sites of the Mayan culture throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize.
His native language is Maya Itza, a language that is mantric, onomatopoeic and reversible, i.e., the intonation of each word invokes the sacred aspect of life it describes, each word sounds like what it describes and each word can be reversed resulting in another word that deepens one’s understanding of the original word.
Hunbatz Men has widely lectured throughout North and South America and Europe. His lectures include topics like: Mayan mathematics, astrology, and philosophy; the letters “T”, “O”, and “G: as the origin of humanity; Mayan sexual education, social organization, and ceremonial centers; Kundalini Maya; sacred symbols of Tamuanchan; the 1992 Sun Walk from Alaska to Mexico City; new commercial ventures that will be available to Native Americans and other minorities in the United States; and the importance of communicating the Native American thought and its dissemination throughout the world.
When Hunbatz presents a lecture he carefully ties a hand woven band around his head, and he asks permission from the Creator to help him understand everything, especially the high knowledge and our connection with the Earth, Time spent with Hunbatz Men is a unique blend of sacred and experiential ceremony liberally sprinkled with Mayan chants, prophecies, cosmic and solar wisdom, and language lessons.

Hello! I discovered this website after reading Hunbatz Men’s The 8 Calendars of The Maya.
Hunbatz Men’s analysis of the drawing in the Chilam Balam of Chumayel was particularly striking, as it perfectly matches the 13-level unfinished pyramid in The Great Seal of The United States on the back of the one dollar bill.
I created a short video that examines some of the parallels between Mayan math and the symbols on The Great Seal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkPagaLMQVM). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Also, is there anywhere one can go to learn more about the mantras of the Maya Itza language?
With Love,
Sean
Forgive me, but I am interested in the journey from NY, to LA with the 13 Crystal Skulls, and for some reason I am skeptical. I did meet and travel with Don Alejandro and his spouse Elizabeth, and thus spent special moments in ceremony with Don and other true Mayan Elders. For some reason, again, but I am skeptical regarding your organization, Hunbatz Men, the 13 Skulls; even though Don did talk about the Skulls, and the travels of the 13 skulls coming to USA and the 11.11.11 ceremony. I am not even sure what I am asking of you, but if you want to respond, I would be much appreciative. I am considering being at Cahokia, IL and Sedona, AZ for the skull ceremonies, and right now my personal journey is to be at Chaco Canyon, NM for 11.11.11. I have an invitation to be at Lake Titcaca for 11.11.11, but right now, I do not believe I will be able to attend this sacred journey by Lemurian Awakening. I traveled to many locations with Drunvalo Melchizedek – Flower of Life (I am a FOL Facilitator, but I do not Facilitate Workshops), and my travels with Lemurian Awakening have all been related to Raising the Disk of MU from Lake Titicaca and the returning of the ‘love vibration’ back to the surface of the earth. These are my words, but our Ascension to me is an energetic one, which brings all life back together to help each other and to live in pure love of oneself and all life everywhere.
I do have one question: What would Don Alejandro say about you (Dan Cardona), since Don was listed in your bio?
Dear Patricia and Daniel, I am writing you to explore the potential of documenting the coming journey across America with Maya Shaman Hunbatz Men and the sacred crystal skulls. My very good friend Jessica and I have been discussing a pilgrimage from the North East US through the South West (Hopi Land) and eventually into Mexico / Belize (Maya) by 2012.
We have already purchased an RV for the journey and were prepared to depart this winter…we have just learned about your amazing effort and thought immediately about the synchronicity present in the situation. We can better acquaint you with who we are, what our credentials are, and why we feel our purpose is aligned with the procession of the sacred skulls at a later date, but we’d simply like to gauge interest at this point.
We have professional grade photographic and film making hardware and software (we intend to live-blog); would be able to sustain ourselves and our own expenses; and only ask that we be treated as a form of “press” and given access to the events and happenings of this extraordinary journey. If you have an interest in entertaining this proposition, please feel free to contact me for a follow-up discussion – as the time for preparation is shortening quickly. Namaste – Jacob
